Very friendly & helpful staff - any problems were quickly resolved. Rooms were relatively clean and spacious. The arranged pick-up was very helpful, and the tuk-tuk driver, Sarth, took us everywhere we wanted to go other the next couple of days at a reasonable rate. The hotel is located in a suburb away from the usual tourist masses and nearby are a number of local restuarants offering food at more reasonable prices than many of the overpriced tourist restuarants in town - don't be afraid of the rough and ready look of these restaurants as the food is excellent. The hotel is also located down a lane from the main road and was pleasantly quiet compared to places along the motorbike clogged roads closer to town.
The hotel is around a 20-30 minute walk from the centre of town, but this is not a major issue as you can flag down a tuk-tuk (or more often they flag down you) which should cost no more than $1 to take you into town, or it is also fairly easy to walk around compared to many south-east Asian countries. Other than this, thoughts are largely positive.

the staff has welcomed us and treated us warmly all the 3 days. Little inconveniences were overcome with their dedicated help.
Mosquitos are around and as the ceilings are open for them to enter you rely on the aircon and fan to keep them away from you.

For what you spend this cozy little guest house is perfect. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly... But don't expect too much from the staff. Think more as if you where staying with some friends: They are friendly and will help you where they can. But if they don't understand what your saying it does little to phrase it in a different way, if they just dont know they wont suggest any other options, better to go to a tourist information office in the town. Having said that, when it came to organising our sunrise tour to Angkor Wat they where perfect. They're in house tuk-tuk driver (who took us round the temples for the day) was polite and friendly, he wasn't pushy and didn't try to sell us anything extra and he suggested a tasty place to eat for lunch. The information and map of the sites they gave us was to the point and helped make our experience one I will never forget!!! Highly recommended

Price is great! It cost me us6 dollars for one single room with breakfast, i don't think i can get a similar quality guesthouse with this price. Yes, you have to check the room before you checkin, before I want to get an A/C room. but the wall of the room is not so good, thus I change back to a fan room.
reception can speak Japanese but English is not so good.
